My name is Christi Arredondo, or as some of my followers may know me, Chii~!
I am an aspiring Japanese pop singer with big dreams. More than anything in the world, I want to become an established and accomplished singer in Japan. I spent three wonderful months studying the language. Unfortunately, attending school in Japan required the utmost dedication leaving virtually no free time. As my time and resources were so limited, I was unable to pursue my long term goal: Getting my name out there! I am blessed to have gained a better grasp of the culture and language but this time around, I want to concentrate 100% on auditioning and performing as much as I can. I am hoping to start a life in Japan but along with other obstacles comes the biggest one...having enough funds. I am a humble student with only a small window of time to achieve my dreams with a student loan to take care of already.
My parents have done all they could for me to help me and support my dream but they have had their share of hardships lately. When my grandfather lost his battle with leukemia, they paid for a big chunk of the funeral and brought my grandmother and aunt to live with us. My uncle had already moved in with us the year before and so with my sisters and I, it brought our household number to eight. When I got the chance to compete in the second round of a competition, my mom still helped me travel to the audition even though she had just lost her job. As time goes by, the opportunity diminishes and the responsibilities of growing up increase.I am trying to fund-raise enough money to cover upcoming expenses for my trip and stay in Japan while I audition and get settled. I pray that one day you will be hearing of my success! I know it is a hefty sum but it will go to preparing anything needed to be professional and successful as well as helping me stay in Japan as long as I can.
This is a blind and difficult dream to pursue, but I believe in myself and I hope you do too.
