If you are people I know in person, then you should definitely know how hard it is for me to ask you for your money. But I am in a bind: I will be leaving Canada at the last of May to travel halfway across the world to Nepal. I will be spending a period of 5 weeks with an organization in Pokhara, Nepal, that will allow me to teach Buddhist monks English, splitting my time between a monastery and caring for children in an orphanage. 

I will then be spending 3 weeks in Kathmandu, Nepal, working with my inspiration for this trip: the Koseli School. Founded by Renu Bagaria, this school serves 120 slum children who would otherwise go with food and education. 

This money will be used for program fees for the first part of my trip. Fees which go completely to the people I am volunteering and staying with, there is no middle man. (This isn't via a expensive volunteer/vacation organization, it is all grassroots volunteer work). The fees cover my transportation around Nepal, language training, room and board, and as direct donation to the project itself. 

The money will also be used for room and board during the Kathmandu part of my trip. While working at The Koseli School, I will be supporting myself. This means living in a hostel for three weeks, arranging my own transportation and some of my meals (I get to eat with the children a daily meal at school). 

I also need to use this money to help with entry visas, vaccinations, supplies and more. Please, any little bit will help! You will be not only changing the lives of orphans and slum children, you will be helping to change my life.
