Philippines Mission Trip!
I recently decided to go on a mission trip to the Philippines on July 6th through August 1st with an organization called Global Expeditions!
I am very excited to get the opportunity to travel and help those in need. Global Expeditions is committed to equipping me to be effective in reaching out to others while also challenging me to become more aware of the needs of others in my own community. I cannot think of a better way to spend my time than sharing the Gospel with others and allowing God to change my own heart and life in the process
In the Philippines there's a garbage dump where each day kids search for food in the trash before burning it to make coal. This is an area of EXTREME poverty where hundreds of kids are growing up in the middle of waste, rubbish and debris. This summer my team and I will be reaching out to families living in the worst conditions by leading "Sunday School" style programs. Some days we will be hosting a Medical Clinic to assist in with the lines and organize games and events as people wait their turn to be seen by the doctor!
The total cost of this trip
is $3,800 and this will take care of my flight, room and board, participation
fee, and other travel expenses. During the next several weeks I will be working
very hard to raise the funds to go and I wanted to begin by asking you to be part
of this mission trip with me by helping with any contribution.
