Laurie & Colin Jackson's Family

On Saturday, June 25, 2016, Laurie and Colin Jackson left a family gathering at Laurie's parents' home in Comber ON on their motorcycle. Less than 15 minutes later, they were struck by a minivan that ran a stop sign. Tragically, neither Laurie nor Colin survived.
Laurie and Colin leave behind two children, Jeremy (22) and Shae-Lynn (18), a 3 year old granddaughter and an almost one year old grandson. Unfortunately, Laurie and Colin did not have Wills and had not left instructions regarding their final wishes. It has been left to Jeremy and Shae-Lynn, along with their grandparents, to make the funeral arrangements and settle their estates.
Laurie and Colin had a small account of life insurance through their employer. However, their final expenses will be more than the insurance will cover.
Laurie grew up in Windsor ON, where she and Colin had been residing the the past 21 months. But their children are living in Colin's home town of Napanee ON. They have decided to have Laurie and Colin's final resting place in Napanee. Meaning that aside from the funeral costs, they will also have the cost of travelling back and forth between Napanee and Windsor while planning the funerals and settling the estates.
Also, since Laurie and Colin did but have Wills, there will be the added cost of lawyer fees in order for Jeremy and Shae-Lynn to be named beneficiaries of their parents' estates.
Any funds donated through this campaign will go directly to paying for Laurie and Colin's funerals and final expenses.
Laurie and Colin loved each other deeply and were loved by so many. They will be missed.
