Project Reach Mission Trip

Hello Friends,

I wanted to tell you all about an awesome opportunity I have in June, and to ask for your thoughts and prayers, as well as any other support you may give. I will be going on a mission trip to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico June 5-11. I will be going with my church, Summerbrook Community Church, as both a chaperone to the youth and a participant in ministry. While there, we will be working at the institute run by Victorious Christian Harvesters. We will be working in a feeding center, working on several projects to help the institute, and, of course, we will be sharing the word. 

Summerbrook has worked with VCH at the institute there twice before: once last summer to perform repairs and additions to help the feeding center, and once in November to help administer vaccines, medical supplies, and more building and remodeling to help the center thrive. 

The VCH center there is a bible college, a feeding center, a worship center, and a safe-haven for the town. The people in the surrounding town are impoverished- some to the point that they must leave small children in the care of older siblings for days at a time to find work in nearby towns. Some children eat their ONE meal of the day at the feeding center. 

I am very excited to have the opportunity to make what small difference I can in these people's lives, and to be able to share Christ's love with them. 

I can use your help in two ways. First and foremost, please keep me and the team ( about 30 people- both youth and chaperones) in your thoughts and prayers as we prepare for this awesome opportunity. Second, please do not feel obligated at all, but if you are able, any donation- however small- to help fund the trip would be an awesome blessing.
