Durham Storefront Project: Spring 2013

Donation protected

Support art in downtown Durham! The Durham Storefront Project in partnership with Carrack Modern Art and Mercury Studio present the Spring 2013 series of artist storefront installations. Art installations are up at the following locations -- please check them out and then consider a donation to support the artists!

All funds raised go directly to the artists, ensuring that the project continues to attract high-caliber artists and creates interesting, eye-catching art installations, adding to the vibrancy of downtown Durham.

From March 21st through May 11th, 2013, Durham Storefront Project will present the work of these amazing artists. The spring series focuses on the artists' process in developing new, site-specific installations for storefront windows, so the artists will also discuss their installation process during two public artist talks hosted by the Carrack and Mercury Studio.

The Durham Storefront Project is a volunteer-organized arts incubator that connects owners of spaces in downtown Durham with artists who can create innovative, non-commercial art installations. This will be the third series of installations presented by Durham Storefront Project. To date, the project has worked with 22 artists who have volunteered over 500 hours of their time to install original artworks in downtown Durham storefronts.
