I am the Mastiff that was chained and padlocked to a tree and shot twice November 25th, 2012 in Cleveland Heights in Forest Hills Park. I was struck in the head and chest and I was left for dead but somehow I survived the frozen night and was rescued. After surgery and much care I still have a bad limp, but have been adopted and I live on 10 acres in Solon. I have three Chocolate Labrador sisters.
I love everyone here but no one knows my history and no one can understand my traumatic events. Now that I am feeling better I can be challenging at 100lbs. My mom takes me for a 2 mile walk every day but I am telling them I still need more space. My family cannot let me off of a leash and they feel I deserve to have space to run and the space to be understood as they help me transition into a family life. They want to build me a fence, but they don't have the funds to do it because I eat so much, haha.
They know so many of you want to support me and my important story that will be used to help so many abused animals, so they wanted to find a way for you to be involved. This sounds like a great idea for me! Whether you donate $10 or $1,000 it will go towards a 1 acre split rail fence lined with heavy chicken wire for me to play in for my safety and the safety of others. Boy would I be happy if I could have that (i'll even post pictures). My cause is bigger then just to have a fence! This fence will allow my family to adopt many more doggies in the future, which they intend on doing, but they can't do both right now. Thank you for taking time to read this.
