Help Kelly help refugees in Greece

For anyone reading this who doesn't know me, my name is Kelly Griffin. I am a physician (internal medicine and critical care medicine) in NYC. I am also a mother.
I have been gripped by the Syrian refugee crisis since it began. People- families- are running for their lives. Earlier this week, a children's hospital was targeted for bombing in Aleppo, killing several children and medical staff, including the last pediatrician in Aleppo. I have been hoping for an opportunity to help in some way. For one week in the beginning of June, through the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS), I am traveling to one of the refugee camps in Greece to serve as a volunteer physician. I am asking for donations that I will then use to purchase both personal hygiene items (there are reports of shortages of things like toothbrushes, underwear, women's sanitary items, etc) as well as making a lump donation to SAMS for medical supplies. These donations will not fund my trip- I am paying travel expenses myself. This fundraising will go straight to SAMS and supplies directly purchased to give to refugees.
