Chamber Building Remodel

The Sun City Center Area Chamber of Commerce building is a vital location to our senior community. Not only do we support our local businesses, as most Chambers do, but our banquet room is the meeting place for several non-profit and charitable organizations such as the all-volunteer Emergency Squad, Communitty Emergency Response Team, and the volunteer Security Patrol.  We also house weekly meetings for AA, OA, National Association for Mental Illness, and two church congregations.

We also print and provide community resource guides and maps and serve as a non-official city hall. As you can imagine, our Chamber gets quite a bit more foot traffic than the normal Chamber, which leads to above average wear and tear.

We're raising money to remodel our banquet room and kitchen area to better serve the needs of our seniors. The funds we raise will go towards new floors, lighting, updated kitchen applicances, storage areas and decor.

Our goal is to raise the funds over the summer and begin construction in the early fall.

We have more than 20,000 retired and working seniors in our community who rely on our banquet room as a community center.  And we offer the room to these various groups at no cost.
