I have a curve in my spine, I ride speedway, I am raising money for Scoliosis!
I started racing with Dragons Amateur Speedway in 2011 after finally investing in my own speedway bike early that year. I decided early in 2011 that I would race whilst raising money for the charity.
Raising money for charity while racing speedway does not come cheap and it takes a lot of funds to keep going. Can you help?
What is Scoliosis?
It is a medical condition in which a person’s spine is curved from side to side. An individual with scoliosis may look more like an “S” or a “C” than a straight line. Many individuals with curves suffer constant pain and discomfort, restricting their mobility and quality of life significantly.
Why am I raising money/awareness?
I have had a bend in my spine from an early age (I hide it well under my race suit) which got progressively worse as I reached adulthood causing complications with my posture plus other problems.
