Help Know My World Inspire in China

Genevieve and Lisa are working hard to promote peace, empathy and project based learning through cross-cultural relationships around the globe with Know My World.  This year Know My World is honored to have been selected to present a workshop at the 2013 East Asia Regional Conference of Overseas Schools (EARCOS) in Shanghai, China March 28-30! The mission of EARCOS is to inspire education through leadership and service, foster intercultural understanding, global citizenship and exceptional educational practices within their learning community. The EARCOS education conference is the largest in Asia and educators from all over the world come together to learn and share ideas. 

 

This is a HUGE opportunity for Know My World to: 

Promote intercultural understanding and awareness through classroom exchanges and project based learning.

Broaden the educational quality and experience of all participants. 

Shift the focus of education so that it incorporates aspects of self and global awareness in learning. 

Advance the professional growth and welfare of educators, schools and classrooms. 

Facilitate communication and cooperative learning between and among schools globally.

Support the continued growth and development of our educational organization Know My World. 

 

But we need your help in getting there…Know My World is off and running and will be a thriving and sustainable company.  However, for now we are still working in start-up mode and this trip is difficult for us to afford.  The money raised will go towards our airfare, visas and accommodations for the conference as well as extended travel within China so that we can visit and volunteer at local schools.  We are requesting your support by assisting us financially and making a donation to help send us to China!
