Team Cayden

Cayden was born Feb 2nd 2007. He was diagnosed in utero with Trisomy 18, a rare and typically terminal chromosome disorder. Cayden has had multiple surgeries and ER visits throughout his short life yet continues to thrive. He is currently tube fed and ventilator dependant but has such a wonderful personality, to see him smile makes you forget he has any issues at all! Cayden was linked up with the Make A Wish Foundation in January 2013 and we decided he would most enjoy Disney World in FL. We were set up with Give Kids The World Village in Kissimmee FL and were immediately amazed at how well we were treated! Everything was free, we arrived around 4pm after travelling and not eating all day. First thing they did was get us food...Boston Market food no less LOL!!! We were set up in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo with washer & dryer. Access to the numerous amenities at the Village....2 pools, life size Candy Land Game, horse back riding, all you can eat ice cream parlor (Friendly's),wheelchair accessible merry-go-round, Gingerbread house restaurant!!! So many activities besides this it was overwhelming because Make A Wish also gave us free passes to all 6 Disney parks!!! Make A Wish is a much bigger organization and their work is what got us to GKTW in the first place, we chose to focus on the smaller less recognized organization to donate to. ANY MONEY RAISED GOES DIRECTLY TO GIVE KIDS THE WORLD VILLAGE!!! All the organizations involved did wonderful work and have amazing staff and volunteers!!! God's Blessing on them all!!!! :) LOVE, THE PICHARDO FAMILY!!!
