JPK Division, USNSCC

The Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. Division of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a non-profit youth program whose goal is to make young people ages 11-17 better citizens, students and future leaders through a variety of training events and self development programs. The program is run as a navy unit and the cadets are treated as young men and women. Trainings can run anywhere from 200.00 to 400.00 dollars a training. The goal of this project is to raise enough money to purchase complete uniforms for cadets (roughly 275.00 dollars) and send cadets to trainings. Some cadets are excluded from the program based upon the cost and thereby miss out on developing their social skills, leadership skills and developmental skills.
