26 Million African girls do not attend school. 10% of those girls do
not attend school because of their periods. That's 2.6 million girls!
In June 2014, I plan to travel to Uganda and Kenya with Four Corners International Mission, INC to educate the girls of Salawa Girls Home and Eldoret Boys and Girls Rescue Center about menstruation and hygiene. I will bring TOTM! Kits for 406 girls.
What will the girls get? They will participate in an interactive workshop covering proper disposal of sanitary napkins, how to wear a sanitary napkin, how to clean a reusable sanitary napkin, activities to alleviate menstrual pain, how to calculate when the next menstrual cycle is due and more!
Each girl will receive a TOTM! Kit including:

2 reusable sanitary napkins w/instructions how to use and clean
TOTM! wet bag
2 Disposable panties
I made this connection through my cousin who has participated in previous missions with Mount Cavalry Baptist Church abroad to Africa.
