Help get Kalera through college

Donation protected
I'm Kalera Stratton, a divorced mom of three amazing kids. My life has been amazing, challenging, weird, and wonderful... I grew up incredibly poor and never got a high school diploma, but did OK working retail for a long time and was able to buy my very own tiny house when I was 29. I lived my dream as a glass artist for many years making beads, but life got tough after my divorce. Tendonitis and a faltering economy made it apparent that I couldn't count on making beads for a living forever, so I got my GED and went to college. I am now in my second year of community college (straight A's last term!) I have an amazing unpaid internship at a research study working with foster children, which I love, and I will be transferring to university next winter... I'm so excited! I still make glass beads part-time, but even with a small income from that, and student loans, I am not making it financially. This is where you come in! I have three years left until I apply to graduate school for neuroscience, where I want to do research that will make significant contributions to society, and my goal, simply, is to be able to pay my mortgage until I get there. I am not asking for something for nothing; I have been making beautiful, intricate collectible art beads for 20 years, and I will send anyone who donates over $10 one of my beads as a token of my gratitude. I hope that holding it in your hands will convey to you how much your gift means to me, and to the future of my kiddos!
