Hello,
If you know anything about my life, I'm sure you know that I am in recovery. I'm sure you also know that I have a 2 year old son, Gunner. What many of you don't know is that my father and step mother have temporary custody of my son until the next custody hearing between my son's father I in September.
His father hired an attorney to get primary placement a few months back after we went our seperate ways, we were both honest about our recent opiate addiction. That is why our son was placed with family.
We are required to pass random drug screenings, have drug and alcohol assesments and counseling before our next hearing in order to get him back with one of us or both of us depending on our progress. As I'm sure you can imagine, these requirements are a little costly. I do not have insurance. I make about $600 a month right now and if I saved every dollar to put toward the fees these facilities are asking I might be able to cover all the expenses. But I'm trying to save for a vehicle and a place for Gunner and I by the time of the hearing as well.
I am taking my chances and putting myself out there because anything really will help. I figure I have over 1,000 friends on Facebook so if almost everyone donated $1 I can reach my goal.
I found a woman who is willing to meet with me next week Wednesday and she is offering to help me for cheaper than anywhere else I've been in contact with. They ask for a payment upfront for the assesment and then payments for each session/drug test/groups after that.
So, this is my current situation and goal at hand, if you can help at all, thank you, if you can not, thank you for reading. I figure I have nothing to lose and it's definitely worth a try.
