As one of the team and volunteer Director of this mission, it's my job to help bring support to Mission: Hope! Would you partner with us and consider supporting this mission with a financial donation? We finished our recent trip to Sakwa, Africa and are encouraged to continue supporting the Hope Africa Ministries there, as well as support for the children! I am encouraged today and your gifts bring even more encouragement! It IS possible to do the IMPOSSIBLE with little or no resources, with God's help! Just ask our team! Miracles happen because of people like you! Believe me, I don't like to be a fundraiser, but I find that it is required to fulfill the vision of helping the helpless! Will you help?
This Mission is made up of a team of world-changers; college-age adults who have traveled all over the world, bringing HOPE and change to needy peoples in distant and not-so-distant lands. Our "Mission: Hope" Board of Directors are movers & shakers, made up of Dr. Omar Hamada, a physician/surgeon, US Army paratrooper & combat Veteran; Jordan & Steph Showe, Attorney Husband & Wife; as well as Robbie Santis, a Worship Leader with his degree in Missions!
Our Mission is to continue that passion in the way of guiding adults on mission trips to be that light and bring HOPE to others -through the love of Christ, medical, and humanitarian relief. Our belief is that when ordinary people have an experience in missions, not only are those who are being helped - changed, but those who take these trips are altered forever and come back wishing to increase their abilities to make a lifelong difference.
Our trip to Kenya, Africa helped support a local Christian school in the rural area of Sakwa. We performed a variety of tasks, which include providing school books, money for some uniforms for the students, providing a medical day camp and encouraging the people by bringing goodwill and God's love from America. Several of us have even been given the opportunity to provide support for individual children throughout the year. The local people came out to see we visitors/Americans and we found it to be a great opportunity to share our faith in God and offer hope in the form of humanitarian relief and encouragement. We were also privileged to learn more about a home-based care ministry called Mumomatei, a ministry that serves HIV+ clients in the slum areas of Nairobi.
We are NEXT looking at providing relief for the peoples of Kathmandu, Nepal and surrounding areas - due to the devastating earthquake that recently occured there., while we still send support to the ministry in Africa. What is exciting about our ministry, is that we have direct contacts in these regions. That makes it possible to provide funds to purchase goods which go DIRECTLY
to the people who are suffering the most! We have ZERO overhead costs, so what you give has a greater impact!!!
How can you help? Plan to go with us on our next mission! If you can't do that, please DONATE the funds to help us accomplish these goals. You will have the GREAT satisfaction of knowing that your dollars helped a child NOT go hungry, spiritually and physically. We believe wholeheartedly in our mission. We believe that all of our efforts will have a long-term effect, not only NOW but in the future!
