The accident victim was coming home from work and was hit head on by another driver who fell asleep at the wheel. Due to the fact that the driver is fighting the victim and saying he is not at fault, we cannot share the accident victim's name. Many people know him though, as he is a volunteer at High Desert Church (HDC), a very popular building inspector, a college professor, and a college student! Plus, he helps people in the community all the time and he is an inspiration to ALL! I have never met anyone who didn't say he is so nice. One lady I met said, "Everywhere I go, someone says they know him... He is like the mayor of our town!"
The circumstances of the accident are overwhelming. The victim can no longer walk, sit up, or use the bathroom without help. His wife unwittingly cancelled uninsured motorist and so all expenses are coming from the family's pocket. Even though said accident victim was the only breadwinner, house payments and bills continue to come. The victim is in a rehab hospital that is an hour drive from their home. So, the wife is spending hundreds of dollars a week on transportation. Medical expenses are approximately $500,000 to date.
This has been a tragedy to all involved. God has shown His grace by keeping the victim alive and He is being glorified throughout! It is the victim and his family's desire that all who hear the story will see God's hand in the circumstances and will come to accept Jesus as Christ! Thank you for helping.
