From the bottom of our hearts, Stockbridge Elementary is grateful and overjoyed at the outpour of support from our Metro Atlanta family. You have helped to make the dreams of a group of students come true. Your investment will last the future leaders of America for generations to come. Any contributions in excess will be used to help students who could not otherwise go, help pay for meals, and provide other student needs. Again, we humbly THANK YOU.

I saw this story on the 11 O'Clock news and really felt for these young kids. I couldn't afford to donate, but I made a post about this great cause on Facebook hoping that it would help the kids get the money they needed. Then maybe two minutes later I refresh this page to see what is left to be raised and see that an anonymous donor has donated the rest of the amount and then some!! To whoever that person is I wanted to say thank you & God Bless YOU!! I am so happy for these kids that they will get to be in Washington D.C. next week to witness history! Enjoy your trip students and soak in every moment of it!! Safe travels! :)

We have had SEVERAL fundraisers and the kids were extremely involved. They are not expecting a handout at all. There is only so much money they can raise by selling things to people at school and in the community. The cost of this trip is HIGH! Also, these third graders are extremely intelligent and responsible kids. They are the student ambassadors at their school and were CHOSEN because of their academic success. My daughter is extremely mature for her age and UNDERSTANDS the importance of this trip. It is all I have heard about for the last couple months while helping her raise money at school events, home, etc. All these kids are asking for is a little support from the community to get to go on a trip of a lifetime. They ALL deserve it and WORK extremely hard in school, sports, drama, etc.
