NEW YORK, NY Hurricane Sandy Relief

Bob's home in Island Park took a direct hit from Sandy. The surge was so high that he had to flee on a raft, with only his pets and the clothes on his back.
Fortunately, they got out unharmed. Unfortunately, he's lost literally everything. We're collecting clothes, food and basic necessities to help him get by, but more than anything he needs financial help to start to repair and rebuild his home. Insurance and FEMA help is inadequate and painfully slow in coming.
Any donation, no matter how small, will help.

Wow, I can't tell you all how much I appreciate all of your support. You are all so amazing and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I just wanted to update everyone , I recently had an engineer report that my house is structurally unsound and can't be repaired. Now I have insurance bringing another engineer to check on the first. It's a never ending cycle of inspections and meetings all with no answers and I am not sure what will happen next. All I know is I miss my house and being in it every day. I miss my town and my neighbors and I want to be back so bad. I will do everything I can to make that happen and with your support I can do anything. Thank you all so much! I will try and keep you updated as much as possible. Love Bob
