Another important message, this one from my amazing aunt and uncle, who I love so very much. Please read.
"To all the Angels that made Payton's wheelchair possible,
We are Amy's Mom and Dad. How do you thank so many unselfish people? We would like to say God Bless you to all the children who sold their candy, gave up their allowances, the twins who wanted to celebrate their 4th birthday with P
ayton and the children who are working on bake sales at school. You are a real tribute to your parents. To give from the heart of a child is a priceless gift. To all of you who have offered Payton your own wheelchair, to those of you who have been afficted with Cerebral Palsy yourselves thank you for giving us hope. "God Bless you". To all the individuals and families who gave so generously of themselves, the organizations, businesses, work groups etc. God Bless you. We know Amy would be blown away at the community spirit as we know Brad is. Their 4 beautiful daughters are a real tribute to both of them.Thank you to all the people who are so instrumental in putting this all together. This has been a very emotional couple of weeks but because of such a dedicated family and the very best of friends we made it through. God Bless all of you.If you all have a chance some clear night look up at the stars. Look for the brightest shining one and we promise you it will be our beautiful daughter smiling down on each and everyone of you. Please know that we will be forever in your debt. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for all your love and support. "
This is just so surreal. Thank you so much to every single one of you. I cannot wait to see Miss P in her wheelchair ❤
Speechless again ... thank you everyone!!! <3
Important message from Brad Given. Please read ♥
"At this time my family and I would like to thank everyone for their kind gestures and heartfelt thoughts. The generosity shown has been beyond all our wildest expectations. Not only have there been monetary donations, items towards the auction but several offers for the wheelchair itself. Words cannot express the sincere appreciation we have for
all of these actions.
To keep everyone up to date, please note that Payton has not been assessed completely for her current and future needs that this wheelchair will be providing. It would be very difficult for me alone to make the decision on the most adequate or suitable one. The needed expertise is going to be provided shortly and once completed we will be pleased to let everyone know which unit has been decided on. Also, once decisions have been made toward the retrofit of the van (or any other actions), an update will be provided so that each and everyone will know what happiness your generosity has provided."
Looks like we're moving on to making Payton's house wheelchair friendly. You all rock!! <3
I've got to get some sleep but thank you again so, so much. I know I can safely speak for all of the family and friends and say this is incredible and we appreciate it more than you could know. It may take till the end of the week to get back to everyone who has emailed about the auction, donating offline, etc. but I'll talk to you soon. ♥
6 hours ago, I nearly lost my mind because we reached $20,000... we have just passed $35,000. Mind is completely blown now.
Madac made $60 selling his candy. Sweetest little man! Thank you again, Madac :)
This deserves special mention...
6 year old Madac is out as I type selling his Halloween candy to raise money for Payton. How incredible is that? Thank you Madac!

As many of you are
aware, my family suffered a devastating loss this year, when my beautiful
cousin, Amy Given, passed away at the age of 34. She left behind four beautiful
daughters, an amazing husband and so many more who are still reeling from this
loss. Payton, one of Amy and Brad's 4 year old triplets, has Spastic Cerebral
Palsy and will be needing wheelchairs for when she starts school in September.
Please read the following message, written by Amy's husband, Brad and if you
can help in anyway, let me know.
"I am asking and
reaching out for help. Wouldn't it feel AMAZING to be a part of helping a 4 yr
old beautiful little girl with Spastic Cerebral Palsy get wheelchairs to be
able to go to school next year? We are trying to help raise monetary, product
and/or service donations for Payton Given (Amy and Brad Given's daughter). As
most of you are aware, Amy Given passed away January 26, 2012 and left behind a
beautiful teenage daughter, beautiful triplet girls and myself. There is a
benefit taking place on November 24th at Sackville Super Bowl (6 PM viewing and
7 PM auction) for Payton Given. Also, an account in trust of Payton has been
set at Scotiabank Lower Sackville as well as an account with Sackville Bottle
Exchange that you can donate your recyclables to. The account number is 33 so
please take your recyclables to Sackville Bottle Exchange and donate to account
33. If you don't want to drive out to Sackville, I will go around one day to
collect any recyclable donations you would like to contribute. Just give me a
call. There are tickets for sale to attend the Benefit and Auction for $5 and
other tickets available as well for draws. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE no donation
or support is too little because every penny counts towards Payton's
wheelchairs and being able to go to school next year. I would like to thank
everyone in advance for your thoughtful support and help. As you all know me I
am not a person to reach out and ask for help but know I really need to. Thanks
again everyone. Love Brad"
