Hip-Replacement Surgery!

Donation protected
My name is Rebecca Rine-Stone, and I'm a 36-year-old English teacher and writer living in Dayton, Ohio.  I was born with hip dysplasia and have gone through several surgeries and body casts to correct it. After having 2 children and being active my whole life, my hip is now slowing down and my surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic has told me it's time to get my hip replaced.  It's a surgery I've been told my entire life would one day come, but now that it's here, it's surreal. I'm excited to think that I might be able to walk without pain.  As it is now, the pain is getting to be excruciating as my bones scrape together without cartilage.  Some days I feel like I'm 90.  How ridiculous to have to reach out to strangers for help, but also how lovely that we live in a world where we can lean on one another.  We do have health insurance, but this surgery is pricey.  My husband, kids, and I live simply and the idea of struggling for the next few years to pay off these medical bills I'm going to stack up leaves me feeling a bit guilty.  But the vision of me running after my kids without grimacing in pain is what is pushing me forward to do this.  There's too much I need to accomplish for me to slow down anytime soon.  Your donation will literally help get me on my feet again.
