Shea is a 10 year old girl born with scoliosis. On September 10th, she is having spinal fusion surgery. This operation, will straighten her back out in an effort to remove the 64 degree curve in her spine. Her recovery will take up to a year, and a fund raising effort has been set up to help ensure that all necessary care items can be acquired for her. For those of you that may want to donate but can't attend our event, this is a way that you can help contribute to the cause.
Shea is an active girl, despite what has happened in her spine. Like all girls, she likes gymnastics, dancing. roller coasters and entertaining her friends. Her recovery will involve up to a year of physical therapy and frequent visits to the doctor. She will also require home care for approximately 2 months and will require tutors during this time. At the end of all this, she will live a happy and normal life with no further needs. We hope to get her to this goal as quickly and smoothly as possible. Thank you in advance for you help in the matter. The McGee Family.
