Help for Alan

On Monday, August 6, Alan was assaulted while riding his electric wheelchair home from the pharmacy. He was punch in the head resulting in him falling off of his wheelchair and breaking his hip. He had hip surgery and is being treated for a blood clot in his lung. He is currently in a rehab facility trying to gain his strength to come home. He is going to need ongoing care and therapy once he is home. Upon returning home, he is going to need more care and therapy that he cannot afford on his fixed income. We are still hoping someone who saw this will come forward, but in the mean time I am hoping we can start raising some money to help with the costs that his health insurance is not going to cover. This setback is making us all realize just how much progress he had made over the last three years since the stroke that left him disabled and unable to communicate.
