Hey there everybody, Toucat here! I'm reaching out to you all through GoFundMe, a website where supporters can help fund a cause they feel is worthy. I hope you all feel that this is a worthy cause.
For the first two years of its online existence, 100 Deeds has been a personally funded project I've kept going. I paid out of pocket to bring you the first three chapters. Originally, I didn't plan on this being a long comic at all and only intended on getting the first chapter done as a small introductory piece to my character Irving. But everyone was really enjoying the first chapter and started asking for more - so I gave you all more! It's been a fun ride but it seems like keeping this project going on my own dime is just not a possibility anymore.
So, I'll be asking for donations for each chapter. I'll ask for half from you, and I'll put up half on my own. Seems fair, right? Each artist is paid per hour as they work on the pages and every artist varies on how long they take to do a page. On average, we're looking at anywhere between 6-9 hours per page with about 15-20 pages per chapter. It adds up!
So I'm here to ask for your help! I'd like to keep this project going for as long as you possible. I've done as much predictive math as I can right now and $650 seems to be a reasonable halfway mark for where this chapter will end up going. So, please help me in reaching our goal! This is going to be a great chapter and you are all such great watchers!
You can see some rewards below. They may seem a little high, but we unfortunately can't be overrun with reward gifts and thus need the prices to be a tiny bit steep. Both Colonel and myself have jobs to do during the day as well as other projects. Colonel is incredibly kind to be helping me out with incentives for you all to donate and I don't want her to drown in your kindness, haha. Don't feel obligated to donate and be rewarded. You'll be rewarded for giving us $1 with some new comic pages!
