This Friday, August 14 the Hashi family tragically lost Abdullahi Hashi, a dedicated father and devoted husband. Mr. Hashi was senselessly killed in an attempted robbery while en route to pick up food from a nearby market. He was the sole financial provider to his family of six children and his expectant wife. While he worked long hours to support his family, Mr. Hashi still invested time into his role as a founding parent at Rocketship United Academy and displayed an unwavering commitment to being involved in his children’s education.


We created this account as a gesture of the immense impact he and his family have had on our school community, and in an attempt to support needs his wife has communicated to our staff, such as food, bills and housing expenses.
