THERE SHOULD BE NO VETERANS HOMELESS LIVING ON THE STREETS IN AMERICA!
My name is Sean, I am the owner of BearArms Bullet Bracelets an NO I am NOT a VETERAN. I have not spent any time in the Armed Forces. But I started a 5 year old business showing support for our Military Armed Forces, 2nd Amendment and Law Enforcement. I have worked a vast majority of my life with a ton of Veterans and I admire them. I know most if not all do not see themselves as heroes. But to us, the general civilian population we do. These brave and honorable men & women fight and risk their lives for the rights and freedoms we take for granted each and everyday! That take a special kind of person. So I Salute our Servicemen and women!
According to the VA (Veterans Affairs) 2018 Homeless Veteran Statistic
The January 2018 Point-In-Time Count
The most recent PIT Count was conducted in January 2018. This national snapshot of Veteran homelessness showed that:
On a single night in January 2018, just over 37,800 Veterans were experiencing homelessness.
On the same night, just over 23,300 of the Veterans counted were un-sheltered or living on the street.
Between 2017 and 2018, there was a 5.4 percent decrease in the estimated number of homeless Veterans nationwide.
And still, the estimated number of Veterans experiencing homelessness in the United States has declined by nearly 50 percent since 2010.
I believe if you fight and risk your life for this country, upon your return you should have FREE ROOM and BOARD for the remainder of your life! This is why I have come up with Village 4 Veterans.
A new housing option alot of people are experimenting with are converting Shipping Containers into homes for a fraction of what it would cost for a conventional home. I want to raise funds to build a apartment complex of shipping containers with ALL the amenities where our Veterans can live for FREE! The turn around time for a project like this could be 6 months to a year depending on how many containers we want for 1 complex.
This is just a quick rough outline but it is 100% doable. I just really want to give back to these amazing selfless people. We can cut down our Homeless, Living on the Streets Vets across this entire country and give back to those that give ALL!
