Cyclists Unite For Bob Hurd

Bob Hurd, from Haddam CT, has been an avid cyclist for many years. He is also a selfless father, son, brother and friend to many people. He is the first one to drop what he is doing to lend a hand in need!
Bob has ridden his bike up and down the east coast for a long time. He has ridden up Mt. Washington a number of times, competed in road races competitively, and has brought many new riders to the sport.
Bob also is the sole proprietor of a Home Improvement business in central Connecticut and takes pride in doing a top notch job for his clients.
On Monday July 20th, Bob was out with his friends on a bike ride, supported by the great folks at Pedal Power in Middletown. Unfortunately, Bob was in a serious bike versus car accident that has sent him to Hartford Hospital where he remains in ICU until he is ready for surgery, hopefully, next week.
As you can imagine, being a sole proprietor of a business, if you are not there to get the work completed, no funds can come into the business. We are not sure at this point, how long Bob will not be out of work.
With all the impending hospital bills and personal bills that will be coming in, we, as a family, ask for your support and kindness.
We are in hopes that this incident helps brings awareness that the cycling community have the same rights as motorists.
Bob is the type of individual that if there was a fellow cyclist, jogger or simply a person in need, he would be helping them too, as he as done in the past spending many hours and funding providing help to others.
