George's car Fund his blew up

Hello all, a professor suggested that George give this a try we blew the whole idea off because we don't ask for help, after reading my husband's Facebook posts I rethought about it .......His Facebook post read as:

Way to get home from her hip replacement surgery. Well the car blew up the engine on the freeway I left the car on the shoulder of the road I called for a tow truck but the car had been impounded from the shoulder of the road and was towed to a yard directly across from where I park at work and I had to pay the impound fee $285 just to have the car scrapped I also had to pay the tow bill another $175 total $460 this leaves me with $80 in the bank. Please pray for peace in my life.
What George didn't say in his post the car that he fixed had been sitting in the garage for months waiting for us to save the money to get it fixed while it sat in the garage someone broke in and stole the radio and all of George's tools and anything else we had in the car a few weeks later kids broke in and flattened all the tires on the car.
George drives a 100 miles a day to work with the car gone he is now driving a truck but the truck needed work before he could drive it he spent another $300 the truck cost $100 more a week in gas to drive than the car with us already having a tight budget and barely keeping our heard above water the extra gas money comes from grocery money. So please I'm asking for help my husband needs something that's going to get him to work we're not looking for a new car just a decent used car that will get him to work. On a side note I am housebound until we get a car because I'm not able to get into the truck with my disabilities. Whatever you can do to help is greatly appreciated , Any help would be appreciated thank you for taking the time to read our story.
