It's Time to Support Taniela Tuiaki 

Thankyou to all that donated, thanks to your generosity,Taniela had his surgery in September.

Once the most devastating Wests Tigers player and 2009 Dally M's Winger winner of the year , he suffered an ankle injury in 2009, 3 surgeries and after 18 months of rehabilatation his NRL career was over. 

6 years on and Tuiaki is yet to see any significant support. One of the forgotten men in the NRL.

Currently he lives in Darwin, still battles with that career ending injury to his ankle,  that has left him with a permenant limp, pain and some days even struggles to walk. He works in a youth detention centre but his earning potential and working ability is severely hindered. 

As his ankle is still so badly damaged, a specialist has urged him to have a 4th surgery in Adelaide, he stated in a recent interview “But where do I get the money for that?’’ Tuiaki asks. “When I left the game, there was no insurance payout, no fundraisers, nothing. “If I’d been injured on a job site, I’d still be getting looked after. But unfortunately, rugby league was my job. “I know Wests Tigers were going to do something, but it never happened."

I've been a Tigers supporter since I was a litle girl, after reading this latest interview with Tuiaki, I thought what a disgrace that NOTHING was being done to help this man, so I reached out to him on Twitter. He responded and during a good chat, I told him that alot of fans would love to help him but we didn't know how, so I asked him for bank details and address so WE could do something to help this great Wests Tigers player and great man. 

Let's get Taniela Tuiaki that surgery he needs and give him the support that is long overdue!!
