Help Out The Phillips'

On July 19th here in Ramona during the giant storm we had that flooded so many homes and roads in minutes, Cassie and Aaron Phillips' home was filled with ankle deep water. They escaped through their kitchen window and thankfully nobody was physically hurt. However, the emotional and mental strain they are having to go through in order to rebuild their lives has been very, very real.

Cassie is 5 months pregnant with their second child. It seems at this point in time, their landlord's insurance is not going to cover any of the damage to the house and their renter's insurance will not cover any damage to their belongings because the flood was a "force of nature".

My fiance and I are hoping to get some funds together for them so they can find a place to stay whilst they are displaced from their home, and ideally to replace some of their ruined furniture, clothes, shoes and anything else that was so quickly ripped away from them. They have assured us that they can slowly rebuild, and we have no doubt that they can and will.

These are good people!! Very friendly, well known and loved in our community. I hope we can all come together, help them out as much as we can, and hopefully take a bit of the stress off of them as they try and rebuild their lives.
