Hey pals,
So for the past few months Wundi has made so little money that we've fallen behind on rent in a big way. It's the worst it has ever been. I've come to realize that we've likely just progressed to a natural end, but I've been too stubborn to admit it. Between crowds changing, the popularity of house shows/underground venues and a million other things, our shows have just been poorly attended and those attending haven't spent much money. It's nobody's fault. Our time has just come.
The landlord of Wundi has been very patient with us in the 5+ years we've been open, but she has been pushed to breaking point as well. She has demanded the rent in full today or says we can't open. I'm going to try to figure this out somehow. I don't want to cancel shows, but I'll keep you all updated.
We have shows booked into September, but I'm going to do what I said I wouldn't when we put it up for sale and open the offers up to those won't keep it a venue.
