Still kicking Leukemia's Butt

Donation protected
The directions to this site said, "for best results, explain who you are and why you are raising money." Well, for the whole story, I will refer you to my blog (kickleukemiainthebutt.wordpress.com  and go to the March 19th entry entitled "welcome to my journey"). But for now, let me give you a quick synopsis:
I was diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukemia on February 6th, 2015. I was in the hospital for 33 days (a week of it spent in ICU). The first week I was in the hospital my mom and daughter bought me a Wonder Woman t-shirt (a month is too long to wear a fashion-backward hospital gown that is 3 sizes too big!). You can see the appearance of this Monumental gift when you view the photo of my "pole dancing pic" featured on this site. Since that time, ya'll have affirmed this theme by sending me a retro Wonder Woman treasure box, a Wonder Woman coffee table book, a Wonder Woman do-rag from Australia, flip flops, comic books, socks and last but not least, Wonder Woman wrapping paper with my face on a Wonder Woman body (if only)!!

So, that's "who I am and why I am raising money."  I AM WONDER WOMAN because God(and YOU) and I have officially kicked Leukemia in the butt!!!!! And I am alive to live another day doing whatever God has for me to do, one day at a time. I am also Wonder Woman because I WONDER how we are going to pay our doctor/hospital bills, Berkeley's upcoming year of college and make up for my lost income while I battled Leukemia for 5 months. I plan to go back to Real Estate, but I know it will take awhile to  build my business up again.  It is VERY hard for me, for us, to ask for help. I trust that God has a plan for this, and that I don't have to know what it is. While I had Leukemia, I strugggled with letting people clean my house for me, even when I knew that dust and cleaning product fumes floating around had the potential to kill me. It stands to reason that asking for financial help would be a challenge. Nevertheless, we are in need and putting this need before you. I hope that you know me well enough by now to believe me when I say that I am very aware that you all have been praying your hearts out and serving my family faithfully for 5 months. We could not have survived without this help and support. Feel no pressure to give on this site. We have had some people inquire about this because God has put it on their heart to give in this way. We simply want to provide an easy path for them to do it. Thank you, for the millionth time, for everything. We did it!!!!

With deep gratitude, Heather and Blake Carter

O Lord my God, you have performed many WONDERS for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your WONDER-FUL deeds, I would never come to the end of them.
