Salaam!
My name is Zaynab and I'm a queer Muslim interfaith organizer living in Chicago. I have been accepted to the 2015 Muslim-Jewish Conference in Berlin August 16-22.
Unfortunately my acceptance doesn't cover the cost of travel to and from Berlin, (flights, buses, trains, ect). To cover the cost of flying roundtrip from Chicago to Berlin, I need you to help me fundraise my goal of $1200.
A little more about me:
I'm currently working on finishing my Masters in Religious Studies at Chicago Theological Seminary (CTS). I have been involved with Jewish-Muslim interfaith engagement since 2012. I've worked as an intern for the Jewish-Council on Urban Affairs for their Jewish-Muslim Community Building Initiative. Currently I am a member of CTS's ECOmmunity cohort, a group working at the intersections of interfaith engagement and environmentalism. I just finished producing their mini-documentary Interfaith Firsts which explores the personal journeys of ECOmmunity members to pursuing education at CTS and involvement with interfaith engagement.
Acceptance to the Muslim-Jewish conference is not only acknowledgement of my accomplishments in interfaith organizing but gives me an opportunity to keep learning and growing.
I would be beyond appreciative if you could donate and/or share this page.
Stay lifted y'all!
