As we approach the beginning of the school year, Waxahachie ISD and active volunteers are busily preparing to equip students wtih the tools they need to succeed in school this year through Operation First Day of School. Operation First Day of School will take place on Saturday, August 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Waxahachie Ninth Grade Academy.
Operation First Day of School assists Waxahachie ISD students by providing them with backpacks, school supplies, and other back-to-school essentials that they are not able to afford. The event provides an opportunity for the community to come together to make certain every student starts the school year with all of the supplies they need to learn.
A donation of $40 can provide a backpack and school supplies for an elementary student; just $25 is needed to provide a backpack, binder and other supplies for junior high and high school students.
Donations collected will be used to purchase needed supplies for Waxahachie ISD students. We appreciate all donations!
