Please Help the Kids!
The members of IBEW 21 are collecting school supplies for the families in Coal City, Illinois whose lives were torn apart by the tornadoes that ripped through their town. We would like to assist these families while they rebuild by providing their kids with a backpack filled with school supplies.
In addition to the families in Coal City we are also collecting donations and supplies for children from broken homes and those whose families are struggling to make ends meet. We are assisting the charities that help these kids. We are working with My Joyful Heart in Mokena, IL, Mercy Home in Chicago, and Crittenton Centers in Peoria, IL.
There are approximately 100 families in Coal City and My Joyful Heart has 760 children in their program. When you add Mercy Home and Crittenton Centers to that mix we are estimating there are over 1000 children in our area who need assistance.
We have a lofty goal of wanting to help all of these kids. We can reach our goal with your help. Please donate what you can to help further the education of these children.
