Wendy and Marianne's Baby Adoption

We are Wendy Pace & Marianne Stratton and we are in a race to save our adoption.  Here's a little bit of our backstory for those of you who don't know us. We are a very  happily married couple who reside in the beautiful state of Maine. We have been together for coming on 20 years and have raised a wonderful son together, he's also turning 20. Two years ago we were finally married and at that time decided there was nothing more we wanted than to expand our family. For the past year and 1/2 we have been trying to get pregnant with no success. When suddenly we were compelled to begin the road of adoption. It was crystal clear to us that this would be the path to our baby. We have been working with an adoption agency in Maine and to our surprise found ourselves quickly matched to a birthmother. We are over the moon delighted to think that this could be our baby. We are expecting a bi-racial child on Christmas Eve. This would involve us flying to Kansas over the holidays and spending a few weeks there while we wait on the legal.  Unfortunately we have hit a VERY unexpected snag in our plans. What we thought was going to be an easy hit on the equity of our house, turned into an impossible one. We have been unable to secure the funding. If anyone can help us, even a little bit, it would mean the world to both Wendy and I and this little one that we are hoping and praying to bring into our lives.
