This page is for Michaela Robinson, an amazing daughter, sister and friend.
Last year Michaela was diagnosed with Lupus, an autoimmune disease. With this disease, the body mistakenly attacks itself instead of foreign invaders. As a result, Michaela had to change her lifestyle to accommodate the precautions of this disease. A few months later, just days after her 20th birthday, she recieved more unfortunate news . She was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Over the past couple of months she has been in and out of All Children's Hospital, where she has been recieving and continuing treatment. Fighting ALL is a big enough battle in itself but she was also recently diagnosed with an additional type of cancer called Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
If you dont know Michaela, she is one of the most sweet, geunine, and happy people you will ever meet. Throughout this process she has been extremely strong. Despite having to deal with the side affects of cancer and Chemotherapy, she has kept a positive attitude and a smile on her face,
Throughout this process, she has taken punch after punch, yet her strength and beautiful personalitiy still shine as bright as ever.
This gofundme account is being set up to help with some of her medical expenses. While she does have insurance, it only covers a partial amount, and the remaining costs are paid out of pocket. Treating cancer is not a quick process. Michaela's unique situatution puts her at an estimate of a two and a half year treatment plan that includes bone marrow transplant and many months in the hospital.
We would like to ask those who are kind and able to help support her with these ongoing medical expenses and to please donate to continue the fight. No amount is too small, but every cent helps.
