Hi, all! Just before 40 I decided to change my life completely. I left Brazil (a dedicated husband, two dogs, my own company and a middle class flat) to follow my dream: study Film Studies in Europe.
Never more I had the same financial comfy life, but I managed to finish my Master in Rome + go to many festivals as a film reviewer.
Journalism is changing and film reviews are rarely paid. I interviewed lovely guys, like George Lucas, Peter Greenaway, Isabelle Hupert, Oscar Isaacs, Terry Gilliam, Dustin Hoffman, The Eagles, Stone Roses, David Cumberbatch, Bred Pitt etc..., managed to get myself heard and inspire many followers to admire the movies even more, but every time I bid myself to editors it is the same thing: we do not have any budget.
One day I gave up and accepted an ordinary job in a shop in London. I was so fucking low, but suddenly who entered the shop and left his mobile on my desk. JUDE LAW! I was the only one in that boring shop who could in seconds find his agent's mobile number and return the mobile to his owner. And avoid a second trial on hackering Jude's mobile. That was a sign I should not give up.
So my plans now are to go to Toronto Film Festival in September. There will be loads of stars there and I could pop up in the press conference and ask that question you want to know + publish the interviews and reviews. What do you say?
