Hi, my name is Dale. This isn't typically something I would do, but I know I cannot do this on my own. I have recently been diagnosed with liver and colon cancer. Sucks I know. I'm trying to maintain a positive attitude through this news that has rocked my entire world. I'm still young at 52 with five grandchildren and another on the way, due in Februrary. I want to be around to see the new face in the family. With this news and knowing the financial strain it will put on my family, I'm reaching out for help. I unfortunately do not have health insurance at the moment and will be unable to enroll until November. But still it will not take effect until January. I need to start chemo and radiation immediately in order to kick cancers ass. In addition to needing chemo I will need to undergo multiple surgeries to remove the masses in my liver and the part of my colon that is being effected by the cancer. My doctor has told me it's going to be a long and rough road for me, but feels confident that I can come out on the other side of this. I feel like almost everyone has experienced cancer, either through a family member, a friend, or even personally. It's an everyday battle to remind yourself that it can get better, that I can wake up and fight this. That I will one day BEAT this. Cancer will not be the end of my story. I plan to come back with a survival story.
