On July 6th what started out as a great family outing turned into a devastating tragedy. Asha Sharma, 31 years of age, drowned in American River by Discovery Park in Sacramento California while trying to save her kids from drowning. She left behind her loving husband, Purna and two young precious children.

Nothing could have prepared the family for this unimaginable tragedy. Now they are left behind with financial obligations and worries for the children's future. Asha is a hardworking, sweet and loving person. She lived her life to the fullest and dedicated herself to her family. She had a contagious smile and always had a kind word to say around her. Asha will not only be missed by her immediate family, but also her extended family, friends, colleagues and everyone who's been in contact with her.
