Koan High School Goes to France

The Koan High School class is pursuing their dream of studying abroad in France for the fall semester.  Our French teacher and her family will be on sabbatical in France, giving us a unique opportunity to join them, live in a small French village, and have a language-immersion experience.  We do not have much time to raise the necessary funds, but we don’t want to let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity slip away! Our high school students are aware of the huge obstacles they face and have been working hard over the summer: cleaning houses, mowing lawns, pet sitting, providing child care, baking, and working at yardsales, but they still need a little help to reach their goals.  

This trip will also benefit the entire Koan community, as the class will be making videos of their adventures in France to share with the rest of the school, participating in q-and-a sessions with the younger students, and pursuing interactive research projects and questions.  Our hope is that their adventure will provide cultural exchange and inspire the entire school to work towards their own  goals.
