Help Simon fight cancer.

Hi my name is Emma and My husband Simon is an incredible man who gives back every day to the community by working as a support worker. He is daddy to our 5 wonderful children. Back in April,  Simon had a bicycle accident and a few days later woke up with a stiff neck. We didn't really think anything of it , but when it persisted he went to emergency doctors and was told he had a sprained neck. He was given painkillers, muscle relaxant and was told to come back in 3 weeks if it didn't ease.
Over the next few weeks the stiffness got worse, and then he developed a lump in his neck. The gp referred him for a ct scan but before this could be done he collapsed with a high temperature. This was eased with paracetamol. He went back to the gp who treated the lump as an abscess with antibiotics. However it continued to get worse.
A couple days later he woke up and it was like the lump had grown overnight , so we phoned and got a gp appointment who consequently sent us to accident and emergency. From there an ent specialist ordered another ct scan , and admitted him expecting his to have the 'abscess' lanced.
Simon was kept in for near on a week for more testing and every test that came back the staff were less inclined to treat him. So they referred his case to the Queen Elizabeth hospital. His ear nose and throat consultant decided he needed a tru cut needle biopsy and a full body scan.
On Wednesday 24th June we were called back to hospital to see Mr Jennings for the results, and our world shattered. We were told that Simon had a malignant sarcoma of the neck muscles and soft tissue.
However things then changed again when we discovered he had an extremely aggressive growing, ewings sarcoma. This is very rare and affected his swallowing and airway. It turned out the tumour was 19cm x 14 cm.
His macmillan nurse  arranged for him to start an aggressive chemotherapy in July.  This will hopefully make the sarcoma shrink and prevent him being so asymptomatic. After he concludes his chemotherapy in November. Simon just completed his 6 cycles of VIDE on 13th November. The tumour has not spread anywhere else in his body and has shrunk to 1.2cm x 0.8cm.
Dr peake his oncologist at the qe wants no gaps in treatment while they decide whether or not to operate or give radiotherapy. So Simon will begin 8 cycles of VAI  chemo. 3 weekly cycles 48 hours hooked up on the 4th December. We have a meeting at the royal orthopaedic on the 11th December.
Now comes the funding this page has been set up we also have bills to pay which we are struggling with financially as he will be out of work for up to 2-3 years, we would love to make amazing memories with the our 5 children when he feels up to it. Then there is travel to and from hospital for treatment, visiting and appointments and paying a sitter to look after the children when I need to be with Simon in hospital.

We have raised awareness in the media of this evil rare cancer having had Simons story printed in the mirror and daily mail online,  also the express and Star and advertiser

People have been so generous so far and we haven't posted the link for months, but now the money has run out and we are struggling again
I can't get a job due to childcare issues, being Simons carer and working around his hospital admissions. Luckily Christmas is sorted as we had shopping vouchers to buy presents for the children. But we are struggling with the bills once more, food etc.  We cannot get employment support allowance and sick pay has now ended. So we just have child tax and pip to live on. I don't want Simon to get stressed over finances, and heating the house,  I want him to focus on his recovery. So please help.

We will be paying it forward next year by doing fundraising  to help a charity ( the Osborne trust)  that arranged a treat for the children in the summer.

I know I ask a lot and if you can't afford to donate all I ask is you help in a small way by at least sharing the link for me.

Thank you so so much.
Emma and Simon
