Hello,
This effort is to fund the establishment of a Mobile Kitchen facility. We already have the Surplus US Army Kitchen trailer shown on this site but we need more equipment and gear to get this effort off the ground. The intent is to have a unit that will be able to move from location to location and provide cooking in support of 300 to 500 people. This unit will attend festivals, political and private events and help raise money for multiple efforts through the sales of food.
We are looking to procure additional equipment that we need to meet health and safety regulations and provide the ability to move the trailer from location to location.
This Kitchen trailer was almost a complete unit when purchased. It has 6 burners that power two cast iron griddle tops, both of which can be removed for simple cook top operation. Two full range ovens are also in the unit. These ovens are multi function and can be used for baking, roasting, frying or serve as a warmer.
A number of thermal food containers were in the unit as were multiple utinsels and pots. We need more however as well as pans and serving containers.
We need a large cooler to store cold foods and a hand wash sink. We also need a sanitation set up for cleaning all the cookwear.
Last but not least the goal is to obtain a 2.5 ton military truck that will safely tow the trailer.
