This mare was rescued justover a month ago. She is finishing her Qt and is getting ready to come to our Gilroy Facilityto be in the wonderful hands of Carolyn LaCoe to foal. Her haul fee $550.
PMR is at a complete Standstill and in Crisis...
Ranch has been in lock down to keep every horse owner away as we cope from a Strangles outbreak.
PMR did a nice deed and QT'd a mare off the sunnyside lot for free, for 30 days for a brand new rescue down south.She left fine and left behind nearly 10 sick horses as they each came down ill week after week. ( You don't shoot a volunteeer for not understanding what QT means...) Cost so far..$9600...to feed, and provide vet care.
I have 6 horses waiting to leave the property into new homes, yet cannot due to the lockdown. I am adamant about safety...cost to feed 6 horses for an extra 3 months $5400. 300 per horse x 6, times 3 months.
We are at a critical juncture here... We just finished our big annual fundraiser pulling in over 11K, and we cannot even pay July's bills.
It is now up to the community. I have faith we can get throught this. But it takes money. The beloved volunteers are working day and night keeping everyone on the mend....and moving forward to health and happy homes.

Carolyn LaCoe is our equine angel running the gilroy facility. She is caring for 3 rescue horses "Out of Pocket".
We cannot always understand how good planning and conservative efforts can become so difficult...We survived the recession of 09, and we are coping with the drought of 2015....We are rescuing no one at this time,,,only caring for those we have committed to. We remain hopeful the community will help us out of this troublesome time.
The total cost to cover the above mentioned adds up to $15, 500.
If there was ever a time to think about helping this horse rescue out. Well, this is it. I see the faces every morning and night ...and simply pray, for my God, my universe and all that is good in the world to come forth.
