Our dear friend Chris Harper was tragically killed, by an impaired driver, on Friday, July 3rd, while on a bike ride. Chris was cycling south on Tremaine road, en route to his home in Oakville. He was struck from behind by a car, also heading south, and was thrown into the ditch where he died at the scene. The charges against the driver include drunk driving causing death and failing to stop for a fatal collision.
Chris was a dedicated and doting father, an honourable husband and a devoted teacher. He leaves behind his wife Melissa and their five children, ages 3-13. In a split second, Melissa has been left to raise their 5 chidren alone.
