iHornets: Apps for Autism
Donation protected
We are East Hartford High School students who take a Human Rights class and want to make positive change for people in our community. Research shows that children with autism, especially non-verbal students, can communicate through the use of iPads and specific apps that are designed for students with autism. Here at EHHS we have 19 non-verbal students with autism who desperately need the modern technology to express their ideas and feelings to the world. Our goal is to help our fellow students and donate iPads to the special education department within our school. With your generous donation we plan to purchase the iPads and the appropriate app, as well as protective cases to help these students in need.
