Mission: The Pottstown Regional Public Library, serving a changing and diverse region, is a continually evolving and dynamic organization that inspires a lifetime of discovery through access to information, technology, social networking, and educational programming.
In addition to a collection of materials for public circulation, the library also has a rich array of online resources including free homework help, ebooks, streaming music and video, etc. Programs for children, teens, and adults occur year round. The library is a passport acceptance facility and has public computers and free WiFi.
A renovation project has been planned for years and will begin at the end of April, 2016. The renovation will improve access to the building, improve energy efficiency, and provide an expanded and renovated space for public use.
The funds raised through gofundme will be used to replace library furnishings, most of which were acquired in 1961. The wish list includes collaboration tables, (with the capacity for display, data connection, and electricity), tables, seating, and mobile shelving. The renovation will not be complete without this important piece.
Our aim is providing the community with a top notch facility, with access to the latest technology, so that the library is an center for education, collaboration, and community progress.
