This is just in...

We had an exciting weekend in Slippery Rock PA where Regionals were held!  With your help we were able to get all 5 athletes there to compete! Thank you!

Dom placed 2nd in the Pole Vault to qualify for Nationals!

Makayla hurdled her way to finals in the 400m and also competed in the 100m hurdles. The competition was tough and although she put her best foot forward she was just short of qualifying, there will be no stopping her next year!

Matt left everything out on the track! He placed 2nd in the 3000m and 1st in the 1500m qualifying him for Nationals in both events! 

Chris Has heart and proved it with a 6 second PR in the 1500m!  Although he didn't qualify this yeWe ar, be on the lookout for this rising competitor!

Sean, wow! The most exciting race of the day started in the back of the pack during the 1500m, Sean motored up and began to pick off each runner one by one till he battled between 4th and 5th place leaving the other hopefuls behind to fining sh and qualify for Nationals with a, drum roll please..... 20 second PR! 

There are no words to truly express how proud we are of these athletes as competitors but most importantly young adults!  

Now we look ahead to Nationals held in Jacksonville Florida on July 27-August 2.

On October 1st last year Maple Shade Track Club held its first practice.  Since then we have competed in several indoor meets throughout the winter and had quite a few top 3 finishes in various events!  We have recently competed in a few summer meets where once again placed in many top 3 finishes!

On June 20th some of our athletes competed in The USATF NJ Junior Olympic Championships and qualified to compete at The USATF Regional event held in just a few short weeks on July 9-12 in Slippery Rock PA where they will be among a select few with the opportunity to advance to the USATF National event held in Jacksonville FL the last week in July.    

We are very proud of our athletes and their dedication to the sport and  personal development!
