Conklin Raiders 18U Gold Nationals

The Conklin Raiders is one of the premier softball organizations in the country with a long and successful history of producing the best softball players.  The girls in this organization dedicate themselves to being the best softball players they can be with the common goal to be recruited and play softball at the college level, whether it be Division I, Division II or Division III.  These girls are not your average young adults as they sacrifice many of the things normal girls experience to spend their entire summer traveling to play in various tournaments and college showcase events.  Through this experience, the girls mature into young ladies who have learned much about sportsmanship, competition, character, hard work and discipline, all because of the opportunity they have been afforded through softball.  In addition to the costs of uniforms, equipment, tournaments, etc., all of the travel expenses, including airfare, lodging, meals, etc., are borne by the individual families. 

This past weekend (June 13-14), the 18U Gold team earned its first ever berth to the PGF Nationals to be held in Huntington Beach, CA  from 7/25-7/31 by winning 4 out of 5 games at the PGF Qualifier in Edison, NJ.  The girls worked very hard and they are the first team from NYS to earn a berth to Nationals.  This trip to California was not anticipated and the costs of same were not included in this year's budget.  The only way to make this trip a reality for these well deserving girls is through contributions and support from our families, friends and community supporters.  No donation is too big or too small.  Thank you!!
